A bar full of breathtaking cocktails
How it all started?
The first thoughts about founding Magická sova (Magical Owl) came to our minds in 2021. At that time, we found ourselves watching our favorite Harry Potter movies and during this moment, we were carried away by this idea – what if there was a place with a magical atmosphere? A place where you could spend your time with your friends and immerse yourself in a magical world.
We tried our best to find similar places nearby on Google and found out with great disappointment that our dreamy “magic bar” did not exist… yet. Therefore, we decided to create such a place ourselves. Finding the right space with a magical spirit that was unique was not an easy job. Sometimes, our dream faded slightly due to many unsuccessful attempts, but we refused to surrender.
Finally, at the beginning of 2023, we found what we had been looking for. From then on, our free time was consumed by preparations and renovations. At the end of the day, all the challenges and bumps on the road were worth it. Our magic bar for all fans of fantasy stories became a reality!
A magical world hidden beneath the gloomy streets of Prague
Are you longing for a little magic? Welcome to Magická sova, created by Harry Potter lovers who know all the movies by heart and have read all the books from cover to cover. Step into an enchanting bar for adult fantasy lovers, located in the heart of the beautiful Vinohrady district in Prague.
Our bar feels like a page torn from a fantasy book – with moving pictures, of course. Cozy armchairs invite you to relax, portraits of wizards on the walls keep an eye on you and even a small mysterious lake adds to the atmosphere. An aquarium with magical creatures and a ceiling bewitched to look like a cloudy sky, will create the ultimate enchanting experience that you’ll not find in any other cocktail bar in Prague.

Our drinks are no ordinary cocktails – they are magic potions. Each of them was created with attention to the tiniest detail to delight not only your taste buds but also your sight. You can pick from our drink menu where some cocktails are prepared right in front of your eyes, bursting with a full-color palette, or shrouding your surroundings into a mysterious smoke. In our unique cocktail bar in Prague, you don’t just drink, you have a chance to experience a potions class, mixing your own drink like Harry Potter himself in a smoking cauldron.
And if your stomach starts to growl, satisfy your sweet tooth with our desserts, which even the young wizards dining under the bewitched night sky would envy. We’ve prepared magical cakes and treats that don’t just look enchanting – they taste like magic. Let us tell you – these delicacies could compete with the best cafés in town!

We regularly host themed quizzes and magical Harry Potter movie nights, where fans gather to test their knowledge or enjoy beloved films with a drink in hand.

And if there’s no special event planned, our bookshelves are filled with board games, including the ever-popular wizard’s chess. And the best part? The Magická sova bar is dog-friendly, so you can bring your four-legged companion and enjoy a magical evening together.
